Goodbye Greg McHuron

Lover Of Wilderness, Painter Of Beauty, Wyoming Artist Dies At 66

Written by Wildlife Art Journal Staff (Authors Bio)

It is with profound sadness we report American painter Greg McHuron passed away Tuesday morning, July 24, 2012 at his home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

The artist had courageously battled two bouts of illness and in between created some of his most inspiring work.  He was 66.  Our thoughts are with his wife, Linda, and family.  A look at Greg's career will appear here in the days to come.

Good Bye Greg McHuron

Posted By Ron Anderson on Jul 31, 2012
I have known Greg and Linda for many years. Linda and I worked together for a long time in the National Park Service. I was a fortunate one to spend many hours in the McHuron home. Greg came across to many as a Grizzly Bear, but was really Teddy Bear after you got to know him. The art he left behind for enjoyment will be treasured by so many. I have stood in the Visitor Center in Jackson and admired the view behind the herd of elk. He left so soon, but he now is pain from that darn cancer.

Our love to Linda and family!
