EDITOR'S NOTE: David Measures died in summer 2011. As teacher, mentor, and artist, he inspired many friends and students to look deeper into the natural world. Mr. Tyzack currently is writing and illustrating a book about insects in art and illustration to be published by Crowood Press in 2012. He credits Measures with helping to open his eyes to the artistic charm of smaller creatures.
