Endless Wonder

Posted By Denis Cabral on Jul 25, 2012
We are reminded each day how magical and wonderful our ever-expanding Universe is; yet the more we learn about it, the more we realize how little we know. The marvelous, often serendipitous discoveries with which we are favored propel us onward, hungry for more; searching for those endless arrays of possibilities that we know are "out there." Yet as we relish, enjoy and treasure what we've already found, we are hard-pressed to accurately imagine what might come next. Every time we think that we can, we are blown away by what actually shows up. So it is with George Carlson and his art! He continually surprises us with perspectives, colors, shapes, and textures that both define and expand our boundless imaginations. Great!!

"we need to trod with humility."

You have done well in capturing the essence of George Carlson both in work and in person.

I have never fancied myself as a "lover of art" or a student of its creation. Yet, I have never seen a piece from George that I didn't feel in awe of.

My youngest daughter spent many an hour at George's studio while her Mother "chased" wax on one of George's pieces. He and Pam are a blessing in my life.

I am honored to know such a master!

The future

In the present, George Carlson gives the viewer a rich array of visual pleasures to pique the artistic appetite. In the future, if we have one, he will stand tall among the artists who forged the history of art. He is, at the same time, classical and innovative.
